In a simple word - No. This is a very common misconception. While some massage modalities such as Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage do address the needs of the
deeper layers of muscle tissue - massages do not have to hurt - ever! Some people however, do enjoy more pressure and ask for
"therapeutic pain" during their massage therapy session.
We ask that you undress to your comfort level. Most of our massage modalities require that you remove your clothing so the massage therapists can properly address the
needs of your body. Women are asked to remove their bras for the massage session.
Upon your arrival at M3 Massage, you will be asked to fill out a quick intake and consent form. An M3 Massage therapist will then take you to your room where they will
discuss any particular issues you may be having. Please be sure to mention whether you have had any recent injuries.
Most insurances differ - but massages generally qualify for your FSA or HSA flex spending points. Just make sure you ask for a receipt. Although M3 Massage will not ask for a referral from your doctor, your insurance might require one.
